On March 14, 2016 the City of San Fernando Water District (CSFWD) inaugurated and blessed one of its two new pumping station located at East Gate Center, Brgy. San Jose, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The occasion was led by the Chairman of the Board Angelo David, together with Dir. Antoniette Orejas and General Manager Jorge Gumba.
East Gate Center Pumping Station is the 33rd pumping station of the CSFWD. It is considered as a “new generation pump,” or the “future pump,” with the technologies it is utilizing. Pumping Station No. 33 is using SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) a computer controlled system where the pump automatically adjusts the pressure and/or amount of water to be discharged by the pump depending on the demand. Another technology attached to it is a UV Rays Disinfection Equipment which filters and disinfects the water from all kinds of contaminants without the use of chemicals.
