WOMEN’S WEEK CELEBRATION (September 9-15, 2019)

The City Government of San Fernando celebrated Women’s Week on September 9 to 15, 2019 to commemorate and honor the legacy of the Fernandino Heroine, NicolasaDayrit-Panlilio, who wholeheartedly volunteered to care for the sick and wounded during the Philippine-American War.

The CSFWD has shown its support to this celebration by holding a GAD organization-focused activity entitled “NicolasaDayrit-Panlilio – Ing Bayaning Fernandina.”

The life story of NicolasaDayrit-Panlilio was introduced with the inclusion of some educational activities such as sequencing of events and quiz bee, which aimed to promote awareness about the life of a great woman to be looked up to and a role model who will serve as inspiration on how to have a sense of commitment and patriotism, thus promoting women empowerment in the organization.

The event which was held on September 10, 2019 at Bale Capampangan Seafood Restaurant, CSFP was attended by the CSFWD Board of Directors, Management and Staff, together with the PrimeWater officers and employees, LGU GAD Focal Persons, Council of Women of CSFP and the heirs of NicolasaDayrit-Panlilio.

WOMEN’S MONTH CELEBRATION (March 2019)

As part of the worldwide observance of the International Women’s Day, the CSFWD joined in the celebration of the National Women’s Month with the theme “We Make Change Work for Women.”
The CSFWD conducted the following activities with an objective to increase appreciation on the roles and contributions of women in nation-building among employees and concessionaires:

  • Ceremonial Distribution of Hand Pumps to Different Women’s Groups
  • Distribution of GAD Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Materials (fans and brochures) to Concessionaires
  • Participation to Women’s Walk as organized by the City Government of San Fernando (P) and the Local Council of Women of CSFP
  • “Serbisyo Para Kay Juana”for the CSFWD and Prime Water Officers and Employees
    – Stress Debriefing and Management Seminar
    Mr. Aylmer Anthony V. Alimurong- Resource Person
    – Physical, Emotional and Mental Health Activity
    Ms. Maria Henedina F. Zulueta – Resource Person

TRAINING ON GENDER MAINSTREAMING EVALUATION FRAMEWORK (GMEF), HARMONIZED GAD GUIDELINES (HGDG) and GAD PLANNING AND BUDGETING (GPB)

To increase the CSFWD officers and employees knowledge and skills in gender mainstreaming and analysis, a Training on GMEF, HGDG and GPB was held on January 21-23, 2019 at Microtel by Wyndham Pampanga in the City of San Fernando.

Ms. Reina P. Olivar, a GAD Technical Advisor under the National GAD Resource Program of the Philippine Commission on Women,was the Resource Speaker invited for this event.

Some of the officials and employees of PrimeWater, the CSFWD’s partner agency, were also invited to attend this three (3) – day training.
